Background
Since introducing AI Hub in Gandi IDE, we have witnessed many creative ideas emerging within the community. We are so happy to see how technology helps people to unleash their talent.
We have received numerous suggestions and feedback, but one suggestion, in particular, has caught our attention. A teacher(chocochocosensei#5185), who teaches Scratch in a multicultural class, noticed that 11 characters in AI Hub are male or non-gender-specific, and suggested not using famous people but neutral characters related to different fields.
Respecting a culture of diversity is of utmost importance, particularly in a diverse environment. We wholeheartedly endorse and firmly believe that, as providers of technology, we have a responsibility to foster a bias-free and creativity-inducing experience for everyone. Therefore we decided to update AI Hub as quickly as possible.
